Description of 1959 MG MGA 1600 MK 1 |
This beautiful car has undergone its restoration in two phases. In 2005 the body was restored, he electrical system was replaced with a cloth covered wiring harness, ransmission was rebuilt along with rebuilt front end, uspension, ew steering rack, ew wooden steering wheel and burled walnut dashboard. Stereo with a CD changer was located under the dashboard. There has been added a "kill switch" and external jumper terminals behind the passenger seat; and a twin 12 volt battery compartment. Seat belts were added at this time as well. I purchased the car in 2012 and began the rest of the restoration in 2013. The work was completed in 2016, nd includes: New MGB 1800 cc engine ( installed at 38,106 miles), ebuilt 3.9 MGB rear end (differential), ew custom made aluminum radiator, il cooler and electric fan back up (to help keep engine running cooler), ebuilt twin SU Carburetors, ewer Vredestein tires (have 4100 miles), ew mohair three window top with zip out rear window, ebuilt speedometer (showing the correct current mileage), nd a new sending unit. All four brakes are new. The car has newly refurbished seat cushions, nd there is a slight tear at the edge of the passenger seat and arm rest. The car has always been garaged kept and meticulously maintained by Vintage Restoration. There is no rust, nd she drives very well. I have over $40,000.00 invested in this lovely driver, nd am asking $35,000.00, hich is a real bargain for a collector's car. |
