Description of 1976 MG MGB |
Selling a beautiful 1976 MGB Roadster. Green color with yellow racing stripes. I bought this classic British sports car recently. with intentions of keeping it. but need to pay off my son's college tuition. It has been in the previous owner's family for over 30 years and has been driven on the road regularly during those years. Original miles (63k) . well maintained. As far as I can see. no major rust. Floors are solid. body is straight. Drove it around the block. seems to drive well. Tight cornering and responsive handling Steering was good. brakes good. shifts smoothly. transmission seems good. Hasn't been driven much over the past couple years. will need a little going over. Few modifications: lucas fog lights - mounted but not hooked up. copper trim styling. underbody was undercoated. upgraded battery that was rewired to the front & has kill switch on battery. additional "ahooga" air horn (original horn works too). new carpeting. new electric fuel pump. Working rear speakers and radio. Most of the lights work. glass and lenses are good. No leaks. body is solid. No overheating. Little smoke comes out of exhaust. Engine bay is very clean looking. Tires appeared good. Comes with spare tire. Car starts up with no problem. Classic iconic British sports car. These cars will appreciate in value in the future. We've own several British car. they are a ton of fun to drive and own. Sometimes require a little maintenance. but thats half the fun. Work on this car as you drive it. Currently stored in my garage. This car is almost 40 years old. Jerry Ford was president when this car rolled out of the factory. Richard Nixon had just been pardoned the year before. that being said. please be aware that this is not a brand new car. I do my best to be as honest as possible. I encourage you to bring your mechanic to check out the car. I am a clinical social worker. not a mechanic. but I do truly love these classic cars. We are located outside of Boston and will assist as much as possible with your shipping company. Please only serious bidders. |
