Description of 1969 MG Other MGC

Up For Auction is a 1969 MGC Roadster. This car is out of long term storage. It runs well with good oil pressure and no smoke. The front calipers were replaced. and the car does stop. however I feel the boosters will need rebuilt as it’s not at its full potential. The fuel tank was removed and sealed by the PO and a new fuel pump has been installed. As best as I can tell. everything works on the car. The body is sound. The sills. floors and trunk are nice with the exception of a small spot in the passenger’s foot well. It has chrome wire wheels but will require new tires as the current ones have gone hard from sitting. Mileage is believe to be accurate but can’t confirm. It will require repainting however the chrome is good. The original leather interior will require replacing. The top is in good condition. There is a boot and tonneau. To re-commission this MGC. it would need painted. seats re-covered and the boosters rebuilt. If you are considering restoring an MGB. consider the facts: 1) The MGC has a much more robust suspension (torsion bar) against the MGB. 2) The restorations costs are the same between B & C 3) A 6 cyl ”C” as against a 4 cyl “B” engine. 4) The MGC is Produced is smaller numbers: a) MGB produced for 18 years 500. 00 total b) MGC produced for 3 years 8. 99 total Here is the best part.
