1952 MGTD Offered at no reserve Offered is an amazingly rust free and complete MGTD for restoration, many restoration parts are included. True barn find from SW Florida, car has been stored inside its entire life. Other than some bolts and fasteners etc nothing is missing from the car. Also included is an extremely rare fiberglass hard top. Engine turns with starter, have not done all it takes to get it started however. Frame is rust free, all timbers were rot free with the exception of the rear bottom rail which we replaced. Body panels have minor surface rust only. Camera inspection of gas tank showed it to be remarkably clean. For proper restoration seats will need to be reupholstered, however the current covering is not torn and I did a test on a small section by cleaning and spraying SEM dye and it can be made presentable. Bumpers need re-chrome or replaced ( cheaper than re-chrome) but all brackets in place and are in good shape All gauges are in place and look good, operational status unknown. I promised the gentleman I bought the car from I would restore it ( it was his fathers) and not part it out, however given my current situation ( I am over 60 and I have 3 Sunbeam Tigers I want to restore and not sure I’ll be around long enough to finish all projects) I have decided to find it a new home, hopefully with someone who will get it back on the road. Basically this is a car that “needs nothing but needs everything”, a very complete car in need of a full restoration. However it could be a rolling restoration, my original plan was to get it running ( and stopping) and drive it while doing the rest of the restoration. Car was originally red, last photo is of a beautiful example for sale on Craigslist for $23,500 in Tampa, it is how I envision this car looking when restored. Car is a non running roller, it is stored at my shop in an industrial area, easy access to transporter, I am happy to assist in shipping at the buyers cost Included are several boxes of parts, some off the car originally and some new replacement parts per the following list:
