Description of 1967 MG MGB |
I have owned this 67' MGB since 2011; the title is clear and the car runs great. Upgrades since the purchase include: - new shocks, - new suspensions, - new tires, - new starter, - new coil, - new oil lines, - new spark plugs and wires, - new generator, - new flywheel, - new transmission mounts, - new water pump, - new horns, - pulling, sanding, priming and repainting the dashboard, - professionally rebuilt carburetors, - dashboard gauges rebuilt by by Morris in California. I enjoyed the car as my daily driver for a few years, then in 2014 had a major restoration done of (mostly) the engine by Paul Johnson at Octagon Restoration in Aberdeen, NC: - complete overhaul of the engine, which was re-bored, and fitted with new valves, pistons, camshaft, etc... - the distributor was rebuilt by Jeff Schlemmer at Advanced Distributors, - the exhaust was replaced with a new Tourist Trophy one, - all 4 wheel hubs and rear axle were replaced, - the gas tank is brand new OE from Moss, - the brake pads are new, - the brake lines were flushed. The engine is basically 100% new with the exception of the original block. I have put approximately 300 miles on the car since the rebuilt, and do not have time to enjoy it anymore. Time for the B to find a new home! A few things might need attention down the road: floor boards, new interior carpet, new wheels and a few areas were rust is showing up. Other than that, the car runs great, has a lot of power, and is fun to drive. If you are seriously interested, or have any questions, please let me know. Certified bank check only and local pick up - I won't ship the car - Thank you, and Drive Fast! |
