You are looking at a 1974 Red MGB This is a 1974 Red MGB Convertiblewith a Black interior. It is a two door Roadster Body Style. It is a rear wheel drive with a manual four speed transmission. There are 48,265 miles on the vehicle, yet only a few thousand on the 1.8 liter 9:1 compression 4-cylinder engine. The engine has recently been rebuilt two years ago at a cost of over $7,000 with many of the parts such as pistons, rings, cam, etc. replaced with new, not just reconditioned. The twin SU carbs are completely rebuilt and adjusted to a very user friendly status. The 2100 pound roadster has had regular oil changes and front end alignments. The rear bumper was also replaced last year. Brakes and shocks were recently changed and the tires still have life left in them. Like any used vehicle of this age, there are some items that need to be addressed to bring this car to its former glory. Those items are as follows: The speedometer does not work. We have been advised that is it the cable that needs to be replaced. The driver's side arm rest needs to be replaced...see pics. The door handles need to be replaced and we do have the replacements. The window visor holders need to be replaced and we have the replacement parts.
The interior is very nice with great seats and carpeting. All gauges work as does the radio.
This car is not perfect, but if you're looking for a very reliable and well executed restoration with very little items to address to have a great car, this is the roadster for you. This car starts and runs excellent!!
