Description of 1977 MG MGB |
This is a fun driving, very responsive and tight handling MGB for the true enthusiast and is ready for fall color touring. It has new beautiful red paint and silver MGB body graphics. The original engine has been replaced with a good used unit that responds to the throttle immediately. A Weber carb has been fitted, stainless sport exhaust professionally installed. Rad has been replaced with a new unit with additional auxilary electric fans on a thermostat. Even in heavy stop and go highway traffic the temp gauge stays where it is supposed to. Oil pressure is great, and replaced suspension components provide for a great handling responsive car. Alternator is new. The interior has benefited with new seat upholstery and a complete new deluxe molded carpet kit professionally installed with underpadding. The dash pad is new as is the burl walnut dash applique that adds the right touch of old world charm. New Kenwood stereo and speakers installed. New top installed. Door interior panels were also replaced. All gauges, lights and switch gear works as designed - even the door activated center map light and clock work. Headlights, turn signals, horn, wipers, heater/defroster all functional of course, and the car has had upgraded auxilary driving lights installed. Tires and rims are new, as are brakes. Gas tank is new as well. The interior carpet kit extended to the trunk area and a full plush MG logo'd set completes the look. 4 speed transmission shifts well and clutch is good. This car is ready to go and is a joy to drive. Over $15000.00 was spent on the restoration. The MG does mark it's spot with a few drips after shutdown from a oil pan gasket that should be replaced. I simply use a mat underneath the car Please do not hesitate to ask any questions and of course the car is available for viewing and your inspection. Conditions of Sale:
