Description of 1963 MG MGB Convertible delux

This 1976 MGB that was converted to a 1963 style MGB roadster by Oregon Engine Rebuilders, Inc. in 2006 and was acquired by me two years later. It was sold recently but the buyer backed out ;( ..The work done by Oregon Engine Rebuilders includeda repaint, backdating to chrome bumpers(1963 style), a tube shock conversion (for a way better ride), as well as installation of a Moss supercharger (which rocks), an aluminum cylinder head, a performance camshaft, and a solid-state ignition system for its 1.8-liter inline-four. Shifting is through a four-speed manual transmission with a working(!) electrically-actuated overdrive, the latter of which was recently serviced along with the rear brakes. This MGB is offered with a soft top and boot, a tonneau cover, removed parts (ie rubber bumper/original wheels with tires, weber carb, radio, etc...), refurbishment and service records, and a clean Montana title. Additional pictures and of the paperwork can be seen at this link:https://www.dropbox.com/sh/g1q11ttqhgdffhe/AAD6yvZEcEtQrl6ekrzUK3BYa?dl=0

The paint is in fine condition, but it is a used car (lightly) guys..Ive looked it over and it looks great. I have not used the cover d/t the fear of marring the paint. An early-style chrome bumper and grille conversion was done with a fresh luggage rack and beltline trim were fitted. A black soft top, boot, andtonneau cover are included in the sale. Gas struts have been retrofitted to the hood and trunk lid.

Minilite-style wheels are wrapped in 15″ Federal Super Steel 635 tires with excellent tread depth. The ride is very nice for the suspension has been converted to use tube shocks and fitted with replacement axle straps, and a rear brake job, parking brake adjustment, and brake fluid replacement were performed in the last several months.

Look at this interior..It is trimmed in black vinyl and features replacement carpeting as well as aftermarket wood accents on the dash and center console. A wood shift knob and three-spoke steering wheel have also been added along with a modern JVC stereo.

Chrome-ringed Smiths instrumentation includes a speedometer rebuilt professionally, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel level. All function perfectly. The five-digit odometer shows just over 61k miles, only 1,000 of which have been added in the past eight years. Sigh, I know...I should have driven it more.

The 1.8-liter inline-four was rebuilt during the 2006 work and has been modified with a Moss supercharger which improves the drivability tremendously, an aluminum cylinder head with oversized IN&EX valves and roller rockers, a performance camshaft, an exhaust header, solid state ignition, and a high-volume oil pump.Power is sent through a four-speed manual transmission and an electrically-actuated overdrive, the switch for which was replacedin 2018 (OEM on the Right side of the steering column). An oil change was carried out in the last two months, and a drip is noted from the engine which is very typical of MGB engines. Finally, the previous owner had sprayed undercoating to protect the floors and the car was converted to a 12v system (modern) thus the battery box has been modified for this.

The car comes with its original wheels, rubber bumpers, original radio (i never used it so dont know if it works- but looks fantastic) as well as a Weber carburetor, and a jack. An accompanying folder of service records refurbishment work is also included. When arranging for shipping please tell them that additional large items will also be sent with the car (rubber bumpers, extra set of wheels, removable top). It must be shipped in an enclosed trailer. I am located in Montana and this is the perfect time to ship (no snow). Please use a professional shipping company. The only thing that this needs (besides a loving owner) is to connect the horn, which Im told that it is an easy job for a DIYer. I hope this can find a home where the owner can show it off. I did enter it into a local European Car show and won First place..then I stored it until now...come and get it fellas and please look at the extra photos in the link above! BTW low or negative bidders will be removed..sorry! (this needed to be reposted d/t a buyer backing out)
