Description of 1952 MG T-Series |
Up for auction is this very stylish and classic 1952 MG TD. This is the car you want for the upcoming season. Fully restored and in excellent running condition. this car is ready for weekend trips and toddling about the town. I have owned the car for just about 35 years. Seven years ago the car was pulled apart and fully restored. The wood frame. in great condition and with no rot. was epoxy coated. New leather upholstery. new side curtains. new convertible top. and new floor mats/rugs were all added (all from Moss Motors). The gauges were all overhauled through Smith Industries. the original supplier of the gauges. The car has the original 1250CC 4 cylinder engine. The engine has also been fully overhauled. The pistons. rod. seals. brake system. clutch. fuel system. and carburetor have all been restored. Moss Motor parts were used throughout the restoration. I still have. and will include. the original parts. The roadster is equipped with a 4 speed forward manual transmission. The odometer was reset when it was restored but the vehicle has less than 25k miles on it. The title is clear. The body was stripped down to bare metal. primed. painted. and clear coated. It is painted with a very classy British racing green with black fenders. The car is always stored in a dry garage and has been driven less than 500 miles since being restored (7 years ago). It starts well and runs well. I don't drive it much anymore. but I do make sure it gets started and driven every 2 to 3 weeks. A full check-up of the restoration was performed 2 years ago in 2013. The car was in bad shape when I first found it. It has been a labor of love to restore it to its current condition. but it is time for it to find a new home. The car deserves to be shown off and admired. This is a fun car! Please feel free to ask questions through eBay's email system. |
