Description of 1956 MG MGA Roadster |
1956 MGA 1500 Roadster Recent restoration. Absolutely no rust anywhere on this car. Very tight and responsive Not a show queen but an easy 8/10 or 9. Its a driver and it drives and handles like an MG should. Some history...... Very solid Nevada car purchased near Binion collection in the early 70's. I believe I am the 3rd owner. I purchased it from a friend and fellow MGA enthusiast who kept it in dry storage since 1975. Car has never been driven in rain and always covered in a heated garage. Engine was professionally rebuilt less than 500 miles ago by Boffo Motors, one time MG, Jaguar Austin dealership in Pittsburgh. Same ownership but now specializing in rebuilds, racing modifications and mechanical restorations The rebuild was done right and and you can tell when this car is driven. Very strong runner. In addition: New top (not installed), full tonneau, new braking system including master and slave cylinders, new ignition system, new charging syste, new fuel syste, new hydraulics throughout..etc. etc. Many more too numerous to mention here but all receipts and upgrades are available for inspection. Wire wheels. Walnut dash. Small dent on top of left rear fender that is of little consequence but should be mentioned in fairness to any potential buyers. (see pic).I have owned many MGs in my life and this is one of the best I've ever had. I bought it with the intention of keeping it in the family and giving it to my grandson down the road but circumstances have changed. Its a reluctant sale to say the least but hopefully it will go to a good home.Good luck. |
