Description of 1960 MG MGA 1960 MGA 1600 ROADSTER. 1800cc MGB 3-MAIN ENGINE. |
I AM SELLING THIS 1960 MGA 1600 CAR OUT OF MY COLLECTION OF CARS . i FIGURE I'M GETTING TOO OLD TO EVER GET TO ALL THE CARS I HAVE AND SOME HAVE TO GO. THIS IS A PRETTY SOLID CAR THAT I PURCHASED FROM A WIDOW WHO'S HUSBAND PASSED AWAY. THE CAR SAT FOR OVER 20 YEARS SINCE HIS DEATH IN THEIR HOME GARAGE. IT HAS A TERRIBLE TAN PAINT JOB THAT IS FLAKING OFF. THE WHOLE CAR INSIDE AND OUT HAD BEEN PAINTED WITH NO TRACE OF THE ORIGINAL COLOR. THE BODY IS VERY STRAIGHT FOR THE MOST PART. IT SHOWS NO SIGNS OF EVER BEING IN A MAJOR ACCIDENT . THE LEFT FRONT LOWER FENDER IS OUT OF SHAPE AS SHOWN. I'M NOT SURE HOW HE GOT IT THAT WAYTHE RIGHT FRONT FENDER HAS A BIG DENT IN THE LOWER FRONT EDGE AS IF IT GOT JACKED UP AND FELL OFF THE JACK. i FEEL BOTH REPAIRABLE BY A GOOD BODY MAN.THE ONLY REAL RUST SHOWING IS THE RIGHT REAR DOG LEG. THE DOOR FIT ISN'T SUPER. I THINK THE BODY HAD BEEN REMOVED WHEN THE CAR WAS PAINTED AND NOT LINED UP PROPERLY IS THE CAUSE OF THE REAR EDGE OF THE DOORS BEING OFF A BIT. THE DOORS DO CLOSETHE FRAME IS VERY SOLID AND SO ARE THE FLOORS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A HOLE THAT LOOKS LIKE A RAT CHEWED IN IT THAT MEASURE 4" BY 3" UNDER THE DRIVERS SEAT. THAT'S THE ONLY ANIMAL DAMAGE I SEE IT HAS A MOTA LITA STYLE WOOD STEERING WHEEL. IN MY OPINION THIS IS AN EXCELLENT PROJECT FOR A TOTAL RESTORATION AS IT IS VERY COMPLETE. IT DOES HAVE 1 WRONG WHEEL. THE SEATS HAVE THE ORIGINAL UPOLSTRY UNDER NEW SEAT COVERS THAT WERE NEVER FITTED PROPERLY I'VE REMOVED THE BRAKE SHOES AND PADS SO THAT IT ROLLS EASILY. THE ENGINE I FILLED WITH MARVEL MYSTERY OIL TO SOAK IT. PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING AS I'D RATHER GIVE AN ANSWER THAN HAVE SOMEBODY HAVE BUYERS REMORSE. I AM SELLING THIS CAR AS IS NO RETURNS. SO ONCE AGAIN PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING VERY LOW STARTING PRICE WITH NO RESERVE AND NO BUY IT NO, UNLESS YOU MAKE A REAL BIG OFFER I CAN'T REFUSE. THIS IS A NICE MGA 1600 PROJECT CAR IN NEED OF A RESTORATION AS IT HAS BEEN OFF THE ROAD IN DRY STORAGE FOR OVER 25+ YEARS. NOT MANY 1600 CARS OUT THERE. A BIT OF A RARE CAR AS THEY ONLY MADE IT A FEW YEARS. THE ODOMETER SHOWS 01535 MILES BUT I'M SURE THAT ISN'T EVEN CLOSE. I DON'T THINK 101535 MILES THOUGH. MAYBE HE HAD IT REBUILT AND RESET TO ZERO. A $200.00 DEPOSIT IS DUE UPON PURCHASE THROUGH PAYPAL AND THE BALANCE IN CASH OR A WIRE TRANSFER. A CERTIFIED CHECK WILL ALSO BE TAKEN BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT 2 WEEKS TO PICK THE CAR UP FOR THE CHECK TO CLEAR. IF IT CLEARS SOONER YOU CAN GET THE CAR THEN. NO EXCEPTIONS THE CAR CAN BE SEEN AT MY WORKSHOP DURING WORKING HOURS 9-4 M-F 9-12 SATURDAY BRITISH RACING GREEN30 ALEPH DRIVENEWARK INDUSTRIAL PARKNEWAR, DELAWARE 19702 On Oct-04-20 at 09:59:58 PDT, seller added the following information: THIS CAR HAS THE ORIGINAL 1600 ENGINE IN IT.NOT A MGB 1800 ENGINEI WAS USEING SOMEBODY ELSES TEMPLATE AND MISSED SEEING I HADN'T REMOVED THAT THEY HAD A MGB1800 ENGINE IN THEIRS |
