Description of 1954 MG T-Series

1954 MG TF Roadster Beautifully restored British Racing Green TF with numbers matching motor! Outstanding attention to detail inside and out! Complete with all canvas wet weather gear. top. and tonneau cover. A perfect car to drive & show regularly! Buy with confidence! Introduced in 1953 as the final variant in the T-Series. the TF Midget was essentially a modernized TD with fender-integrated headlights and a new waterfalling grille hiding an improved radiator. The car came standard with the Mark II XPAG motor displacing 1250cc and fed through dual SU carburetors. Compression was 8. 1:1 and horsepower was up to 57. 5! Production including the two prototypes reached 9. 02 before the TF was retired in early April of 1955. We are excited to offer this 1954 MG TF Roadster! The car has been fully restored and finished in a beautiful shade of British Racing Green over Tan Leather interior with tan canvas soft top and tonneau cover. The car is powered by its original numbers matching XPAG 1250cc Inline 4 and twin SU carburetors and mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. Notable features and options on this TF include amber foglights. folding windscreen. rear-mount matching spare. turn signals. electric wipers. driver side-view mirror. dash-mounted rear-view mirror. chrome exhaust tip. front and rear bumperettes. MG door sills. brand new side curtains and octagonal Jaeger instrumentation throughout! The car rides on painted 48 spoke wire wheels with MG knockoffs and wrapped in Nexen SB-802 165/80R15 radial tires! The former Montana owner oversaw the 2014 completion of a full frame-off restoration that was done to a concours level! All paint. chrome. brightwork. upholstery and trim were all restored or replaced for new. As such. the car’s limited test miles since completion will be nearly impossible for even the most scrupulous onlooker to pinpoint. Similarly. the original running gear was also rebuilt at this time and continues to run. start. stop and drive like new. The interior including seats. door panels. carpet and dash were all refinished and frays. rips and/or tears are non-existent. Only the smallest wrinkles can be seen with a keen eye! Underneath is where it becomes very clear that the previous owner was a hardcore MG enthusiast with an eye for detail.
