Description of 1974 Mini Classic Mini |
*Swiftune 1380 cc motor built for Super Unleaded fuel*Over 2,000 miles on motor since rebuild*4 speed gearbox*Headlight and 4 axillary lights wired to key on/off to be used like Daytime Running Lights*10-Inch Wheels with new tires*Front Disc Brakes and Rear Drums*The starter was replaced a last year, and the brakes were inspected and fixed from not working. Brakes need tweaked again to stop on a dime, else it's a longer stop. Runs great! Inspected by two mechanics, a local trusted mechanic who claimed it's a great vehicle and may need a new battery. Then sent to a specialist mechanics locally who did the starter and brake work (record of work available upon request). Drives great, responds great, good grip and a growl you want. Good speed and acceleration to with smooth shifting. Edit (Noted 4/17/22): The battery compartment where the battery sits down inside of does has a rust hole about the size of a quarter. The trunk has dirt on the inside, not rust, and the wet spot is from the bottle of cleaner. I will have the trunk cleaned and photographed again. ------From Nick over at Swiftune is the following information regarding the engine:"That was an Engine we build for a company called G0-Mini back in 2001.1380 is the size of the engine. ST stands for Sports Tourer with our SW5 camshaft spec. Build with one of our modified heads to Level 3 spec running with standard rocker assembly. We didn’t supply a gearbox with this unit or carbs but with a flywheel and clutch assembly to suit Verto type. In the day these were around 95 – 100 BHP engine spec."-------- The Swiftune engine and work is a $12,000+ project only available overseas |
