Description of 1961 Nash Metropolitan

Up for sale is a Classic 1961 Nash Metropolitan Convertible. Up until 2014, his car was used for parades and Sunday Drives. It has not been in the rain for over 22 years. The previous owner took meticulous care of this car. The interior is in excellent condition, here is trunk access from the inside as well as from the outside. The chrome is in good condition, inimal pitting, cratches and rust. The convertible top open, loses and stores very easily. There is a bonnet cover to cover over the top, hen it is down. It comes with the original jack and lug wrench. The odometer show 24,673 miles. I believe these are original but can not verify that.

The Metropolitan was built in England to America Motors specifications, merican Motors grew out of the 1954 merger of Nash and Hudson motor companies. All the Metropolitans made, ere built by the Austin Company in England, ater know as British Leyland Motor Corp. . .. now known as Jaguar Cars Inc. The Metropolitans were sold by Nash, udson, nd AMC Dealers in the USA and Canada from 1954 to 1962.
In 1961 only 969 Metropolitans were sold in the USA and Canada, o this small production makes it a rare care, specially in a True Convertible model.
