1959 Nash Metropolitan 1500. Stock original in documented storage since 1974. This car has not seen rain, ater, r the road since 1974. It's a 2 owner, 6,000 mile original and it looks and drives like the super original car it is. It is not perfect, t was a high schoolers car so it has some dings and scratches, nd dirty interior. It was bought new in Glendale, till wears the dealer license plate frame from DON RICE GLENDALE RAMBLER and has been in the San Fernando Valley since new, lways a CA car. Since removal from storage it has had new correct radial white walls installed, he gas tank was removed and cleaned, ew: fuel pump, ines, oses, rake and clutch master and slave cylinders and hoses, ew wheel cylinders, ew radiator hoses, ew battery and an oil change. 59 was the first year for the 1500cc engine, o it has plenty of power, nd is a 3 speed manual shift. It is currently registered, ll fees are paid, nd it wears its original black and yellow plates. Has never had rust, or any panel damage or replacement. Includes original owners manual, riginal jack and handle, spare wheels, sets of keys. Everything works as it should, ights, ipers, orn, urn signals, M Radio, rake lights etc. it has only been lightly washed so it could be driven, his car will be amazing with a detail and some new weatherstripping. The right tail light chrome piece is cracked, nd we didn't hook up the heater hoses. The padding in the front seat is dryer out and crunchy. May be the lowest mileage most original Metropolitan to be sold in a long long time. Come drive it, t's like 1959! I was the one who opened the garage door for the first time in 20-30 years and saw this car. The home owner had passed and the family was selling the house and this was in the garage, s seen in the photos. The whole house was a time capsule. I'm not a dealer, don't do this for a living. I just find neat old stuff, eep some, nd pass on the rest. My kids will be sad, ou'll be happy. This car is the hit of the neighborhood and everywhere I drive it. All I know of these cars is what I've learned in the last month getting this beauty on the road. Parts are easy to get. So feel free to ask questions.
