Description of 1958 Nash |
I have everything to complete it except for the spare tire mount. All the glass, all the trim, original motor is suppose to be recently overhauled. I didnt do the overhaul and dont have any idea who did but it seems like it is from turning it over. Still ahs the original hand crank fitting on the front shaft. Even have the original Nash embossed hubcaps for it. There is two transmissions, the original one and another that i think is a 1957. The charging system is also new on the engine. I think i have an extra trunk lid, hood and radiator too. For the interior, it is just the bare seat frame, springs and mounts. Back seat in these was just a piece of plywood with foam and vinyl. It WILL need the floor pans repaired, they arent in need of complete replacement but there are spots that need to be fixed. drivers side rocker is rusted out and the rear rollpan is rusted out. The subframe rail on the passengers side will also need repaired or replaced. Due to that, i decided againsta full on restoration and intended to do a restomod. An OEM rear subframe is a bit expensive and to me it just wasnt worth the extra expense when a mod is valued roughly the same. The parts that have been removed are all boxed and on shelves inside my shop so i really couldnt get pictures of them. Clear Arkansas title and i also have parts source catalogs that will go with it.My plan was a 60 degree v6 with automatic, upgraded rear end and mustang II front end to add disk brakes but i just dont have the time.As far as mileage goes, the odometer has 23852 on it but your guess would be as good as mine. Title of course just has "exempt" on it. Tires on it are modern, really pretty good condition and hold air fine. Havent had to even add air for 2 years so it could be towed with a bumper hitch no problem although if it were being towed for an extended period i would suggest trailering it. Located just a little outside Flippin Arkansas. Not the end of the world but you can see it from here. Open to offers and it is also listed for sale or trade locally so if i get a reasonable offer i will end the listing early.$200 non refundable deposit due within 48 hours of closing and the balance in cash at pickup. sorry for the hassle but there has been one too many no-shows. |
