1962 Nash Metropolitan Series IV- Mine since 1981 and now it's time for someone new. Not cosmetically perfect however it has been professionally maintained over the years by one mechanic - it runs and drives great! Also, not a car for the introvert. People will stop and chat wherever you go. Recently the gas tank was restored at the Metropolitan Pit Stop in Studio City. Head mechanic commented on howfrequently they see stunning looking Mets which do not run very well. However mine was real surprise and a excellent runner! That's what having a single mechanic does. I've left the interior for the next owner to make their own. (i was leaning toward a "The Jetsons" fabric but it never happened) Engine is 1500cc, the largest one they put in the Met which is paired it to a three-speed manual transmission. The differential was swapped for an MGB dif making the car much better on the freeway,a recommended modification if you can find the parts. Radio worked until i messed up the fuse holder on it. Should be an easy repair. The wipers stopped working ages ago. Thehorn is loud which you need to toot at all the people who waive. Car was originally yellow and white. When i got it - all white. I had it painted the classic "Caribbean Green".Drive as-is or spiff it up as you please. New Met car cover included. Also unregistered blue and yellow CA vanity plates "62 MET" included. Send questions. Will help coordinate auto shipping. Thx for looking
