This is an older restoration of a complete, original 1925 Nash Advanced Six, Two-Passenger Roadster. This was not a "field car" or a hulk resurrected from bits and pieces. It was purchased from a family member of the original owner, and he stated that the car had been restored at some point in the 1990s.
Car is an example of Nash's largest series for 1925, the Advanced Six.Features include:- 248.9 cid, 6-cylinder, OHV engine
- 3-speed manual transmission
- 4-wheel drum brakes
- Budd-Michelin, 21-inch, steel disc wheels
- Hotchkiss-type drive (no torque-tube)
- 4.50:1 rear axle ratio
- 121-inch wheelbase
- 3,320-lb. curb weight
Work that was done:
- Complete rebuild of engine, transmission, rear axle, brakes and suspension
- Body and chassis stripped of all paint and rust
- All brightwork fully replated in chrome
- Wood body framing replaced where needed
- Windshield glass replaced with SAFETY GLASS

- Complete set of headlights, complete taillight with "NASH" logo lens and correct mounting bracket
- Four restored NASH hubcaps
- Rare, correct 1925 Nash Elginmechanical clock in good working order
- Correct (hard-to-find), original Nash cast-aluminum, screw-on fuel cap
- Hampton Coach seat springs/upholstery, already done and additional matching yardage for door panels and trim
- Completely-rebuilt Stewart vacuum tank (@cost of $400. in 2006)
- New, RI Wiring, repro #0 gauge battery cables with correct terminals and lugs installed
- New, RI Wiring, armored wiring in proper, assorted gauges for ignition and lighting
- Nash Master Parts List, 1925-1932 (dealer parts catalog) plus 1924Nash parts code cross-reference book and extensive additional reference material on 1925 and 1926 Advanced Six models
Work needed to complete car:
- New canvas material for folding top
- Fuel tank cleaned and re-sealed (tank is solid with no leaks, but old sealer is peeling away)
- Dash gauges reassembled and adjusted
- Installation of above parts
- Re-installation of floorboards and trunk boards (removed for access to fuel tank and wiring)
- Some details on the car were incorrect when I purchased it and I fixed most, but the few that remain are easily corrected I have owned this car for over 20 years and selling only to help finance a motorhome I wish to buy. I have the valid MA title to this car in my name. Everything I bave that's related to this car will be included in the sale. Compare this Nash with other cars of similar vintage, price-for-price, condition-for-condition.You won't be able to restore anything--regardless of make or year--for this price. This car is arrow-straight, and except for a few scratches and scuffs on the fenders only, is nearly flawless. Please refer to the pictures, they tell the story.
