Description of 1994 Nissan 300ZX |
This auction is for a 1994 Nissan 300zx with a normally-aspirated engine and a five speed manual transmission that was FLOODEDwith seawater during Superstorm Sandy. This vehicle isNOT in running condition and is being sold strictly As-Is for parts or restoration. Originally, was going to have the car repaired, ut I do not have the time for another project. This is the third time I am offering this vehicle onEbay. Unfortunately, he original winner, ho was from Canada, ad some difficulties dealing with Customs and the deal was never completed. The winner of the second auction had financial problems and could not complete the transaction. The vehicle has not been re-registered since the flood, ut I have the title in hand. Please note...The vehicle report will show adiscrepancy in the mileage because, t some point during a registration, omebody accidentally transposed two numbers; the vehicle has 67,214 original miles.
Prior to the storm, his was an all-original, ow mileage, arage-kept vehicle in excellent mechanical condition. The car was in my garage during the storm and, s a result of flooding, t sat in approximately thirty inches of water for several hours. When the water receded, e pushed it out of the garage and parked it in my driveway where it was rinsed off and then dried out; this is still where it sits today. No attempt has ever been made to start the car because I would not want to risk damaging the engine until all of the fluids had been replaced just in case any of them were contaminated. The battery is dead, ut I did charge it once to see if any of the electronics functioned. Even with a full charge, othing worked.
I only encourage bidders with the mechanical skills to take on such a project. If you decide to e-mail me any questions, lease understand I am not a mechanic and no mechanic has ever looked at the car, o I do not know if and/or exactly what would need to be done to the car to get it back up and running. The photos of the vehicle were taken on the day of this listing and showits current condition; they are notphotostaken prior to the flood. |
