Description of 1969 Nissan Other |
1969 Nissan Patrol L60 -Rust Free - 66K Miles - No Reserve Offered for your consideration is a very clean, ust free and original 1969 Nissan Patrol L60. Nissan's capable answer to the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 and the Land Rover Series II. She's every bit as cool and considerably more rare with just 2000 vehicles brought into the USA during the 60's. This 1969 Patrol marked the final year for the US market and was purchased from Oyler Wiley Motors in Bishop California on October 19th 1968by Richard Tobey. I purchased her from her owner in Wilderville, R who owned her for 20 years and used her sparingly. The Patrol has the stock original 3-speed manual transmission powered by the original inline 6-cylinder engine which generates 145HP at 3800 RPM's. The truck has been meticulously maintained with one repaint since new. She recently had the brakes redone including new wheel cylinders and new linings. The head gasket was replaced a few years ago and she really runs like a top! She has been upgraded to an electronic ignition. The truck is a blast to drive and everything works! All lights, eater, ipers, ashers, nterior lights, ontrols and even that big bad winch! She has a great interior with the retro "banjo" steering wheel, oors with ashtrays, riginal floor mats, ool little interior light, ront and side fresh air vents and a new headliner. Just get in a drive! She will comfortably do about 60MPH. The Nissan Patrol L60/GL60 models were sold to US customers from 1962 until 1969. Patrols were sold through Datsun dealerships, aking it at the time the only Nissan-badged vehicles sold in the United States until the early 1980s when the Datsun marque was being phased out. An extra long wheelbase version, he H60, as also available. The 4WD Nissan Patrol 60 series was produced in short, edium and long wheel-base versions. It had a manual transmission type-F3B83L at first with three and later with four speeds, wo-speed transfer case with part-time four-wheel drive. The motor was the P engine, 3,956cc (241.4cuin) inline overhead-valve six-cylinder, eaturing bathtub-shaped combustion chambers and a fully balanced seven-bearing crank shaft. With two doors in front and one at the back and four seats (driver, nd companion in front, wo parallel back seats), he extra long wheelbase version (the H60) was available with eight-passenger capacity. The truck has had three owners. A really nice Patrol and highly original.
