Description of 1969 Nissan Other 60 Series |
Up for sale is an all original 1969 Nissan (Datsun) Patrol. The history:It has lived it's entire life in Eastern Oregon (high desert climate) I bought this from the third owner who is the son in law of the delership owner who sold it new in 1969. It was originally bought new in Burns Oregon and lived the next 12 years with that family. In 1980. it was traded into the same dealership on a new truck. The dealership in Burns used it from 1980 until 2010 around their lot with a snowplow to clear their parking lot. In 2010. the son in law purchased the vehicle for his own use although it was still at the same lot it was bought new at in 1969. I purchased it from him. The truck:All original. uncut. unmolested. Original 4. 0 liter 6 cylinder gas engine. 3 speed floor shift. twin stick 4x4 on floor. Selectro hubs. 2 speed heater fan. windshield wipers. hazards. Added am/fm radio. Added rear heater. original jack and handle. Everything is there with a couple minor exceptions. New battery and just serviced. I even researched the NAPA oil filter so you don't have to next time. All fluids topped off including transmission. transfer case and axles. Has a slight dent on the front right fender and a few other minor blemishes. I also have a full set of the original wheels with bias ply studded tires. There is a set of studded almost brand new tires on it now. It also has the original owners manual and shop service manual. Needs;Vent hose from front of engine to heater blower motor. Not a major issue but is missing. It doesn't affect the operation at all but for the purist. it's not there. Brakes need adjusted and/or fixed. It stops just fine but I haven't inspected them. Needs upholstery redone. It's original. Has holes. A good shop could do it for a reasonable price. The headliner needs attention. It's there but starting to separate. The heater core on the passenger side is leaking a little. I haven't looked into finding a new core or if it's a hose connection that's leaking. This is an all original 1969 vehicle with original paint. There is very little body damage and no rust anywhere besides a little surface rust in a few places as you can see in the pictures. I have driven it and it drives very similar to my Toyota FJ40 in stock condition. I would keep this as a restoration project or as a driver but I am right in the middle of a 1972 FJ40 project that is taking up lots of my time. I do not want this truck to go to someone who's going to flog it like a rented mule. It is almost a museum quality vehicle and the history of ownership is almost unheard of in a 45 year old vehicle. I want to see this go to a collector who will appreciate it for it's rarity. My understanding is that they only imported about 1000 of these between 1960 and 1969. It's a true rare find. I have a title signed over to me and will guarantee a transfer to the buyers name upon purchase. I am highly motivated to sell this Patrol. Bring all offers please. Thank you. |
