1986 Nissan Patrol SD33 Diesel, 5-Speed From Javea, Spain. 127,480 original miles. No rust. "SD33" inline six cylinder diesel and 5-speed manual transmission. Flat black over fresh black and gray cloth and black vinyl. Homologated suspension enhancements with mild lift, appropriate guards, and oversized BFGoodrich All-Terrains. Purchased from the second owner, a career firefighter and Patrol enthusiast who kept it garaged and faithfully maintained for the past ten years. Starts instantly and drives like a modern SUV with everything working as it should. Engine is clean, quiet and leak-free with no smoke or noise. A tough-looking Patrol, perfect for trails or overlanding, yet with road manners, comfort and reliability that allow daily driving anywhere. A legend, particularly in the toughest regions of the world, and for very good reasons. Currently located in Richmond, VA. Clear VA title. VIN# VSK0KR260U0420698 We took the Patrol out and about before export in Spain: "Climbing steadily up the mountain, I was really starting to enjoy myself. The SD33 has a very smooth spread of power across a wide rev range, and the slick shifting five-speed manual allows lightning fast gear changes when surfaces become slippery or progress begins to stall, allowing the kind of timely adjustments that are so critical when the going gets tough. Wheel slip was common on the rocky terrain, but the suspension felt composed and planted at all times. Slow and steady, I ground my way to the top, stopping occasionally to walk particularly nasty stretches or to sit for a moment and admire the views. "I saw my first wild boar that day. And my second. A couple falcons and a whole bunch of sparrows. But no human beings. On a closed trail near the top of a difficult mountain, it's just you, the vehicle and nature, and that makes the surroundings feel pretty special. Why do it? Why drive a Nissan Patrol all the way up here, likely breaking a few laws and risking an embarrassing recovery if you put a wheel wrong? Because that's what Nissan Patrols do, frankly, and the challenge of making it up and down without help is an inspiring one." Read more about our journey with the Patrol here: 1986 Nissan Patrol |
