Description of 1980 Nissan GT-R |
I have owned and maintained R32 GTRs over 15 years. This one was legally imported by me 2 years ago, paperwork contains the stamped CBP Form 7501, CBP receipt for the import duty, EPA Form 3520-1, and the HS7. This car is registered and titled in New York. When purchased found front diff had too much backlash, front and rear oil seals leaking, ceramic turbos, interior, suspension, clutch were all bad, front rotors were from another type car, etc. List goes on. 94 drive train (better crank), w/ pull (stronger than push) clutch new Exedy single less than 500 miles Compression test cold, worst #6 at 153, rest between 154-160 Cam lash in spec Front diff swapped out Prosport gauges oil/fuel press, boost New N1 oil/fuel pump, timing belt Steel turbos less than 500 miles, port matched ex Boost is set at 16psi, spool is quick never had it past 7000rpms Nismo exhaust Rota wheels w/ new 225/45s way too small HKS progressive springs smooth ride Rear spats were professionally installed, made from 16 gauge metal Changed dash, seats, and interior panels Custom paint for a driver has some issues, but over all high quality New front and rear brake rotors/pads New alarm New stereo w/ 3 amps. Combo of Fosgate/Cadence/Kenwood/Pioneer/Phoenix Gold LED rear brake lights LED dash lights Momo steering wheel A/C & HICAS complete delete N2O wet 30 shot, arm switch is rear wiper switch, act switch gas pedal. All lines are hidden. I have not shot it. If buyer does not want, I will knock $500 of the end price. The bad Some people do not know how to jack a car up! Weight distribution people!!!! The suspension is showing its age Radiator has seen better days Carpet has small burn holes in a couple of places, not too noticeable Trunk carpet stained in a couple places.... More like oil, mind out of the gutter I had to install a switch for the heater Once again, probably missing something, if so we can work it out No major rust, wheel arches are in great shape. The car appears to have been in a very hot climate for a while, interior panels were brittle. Like a lot of guys that do these cars, I am ex-mil that spent many years overseas. Just lucky enough to start wrenching on these at the turn of the century. I have a lot of blood, sweat and tears in this one, to the point where he became family, we call him Kermit. We all will be absolutely sad to see him go. Selling because I have too many. All new synthetic fluids, except the rear diff. Could not break it free, but you can tell it has been changed out, because of the impact gun used must have been set to a kajillion . I hope you're happy mr. lube tech. I have driven Kermit without any issues since finishing in March. I just needed to make sure he was performing well over a long period of time before putting him on the market. Overall this GTR is in great shape. With that said, I hope he finds a good home. Cheers!!!! Tony @gdz1la |
