Description of 1988 Nissan Other |
I am retired and I import rare vehicles from Japan drive them for a year or so and then pass them on as a hobby. I am a over achiever and retirement is BORING. This truck has current State of WA Plates and registration. This is NOT a mini truck for State of Oregon purposes. A mini truck aka a Kei Vehicle in Japan always has a motor that is less than 661 ccs. So that is NOT this vehicle. This is a ONE TON Capacity Truck. And a pretty darn good commercial truck at that. Again this vehicle is registered with WA Plates so no matter where you live just go to your DMV and get it registered in your state just like buying any other vehicle. This is a One Ton Capacity Truck that gets 20 MPG and seats 6 inside plus 2 more in the back! The official Nissan Model number is L-BF22. The official number of the engine is Z16. The actual Vehicle ID from Japan isBF22064256. Common question to me is "Can you get parts". Of course. Exact same engine that was in a Datsun 510. I just did a tune up and oil change with filter and all the parts were off the shelf at Autozone. If you want to buy direct from Japan Official Nissan parts just go to Amayama Trading on the world wide web. So YES you can get parts. I always pass on mechanically sound ready to use vehciles which is why I just did a Tune up and Oil Change. Oh I have a factory Nissan Shop Manual in English for it as lots of these were sold in the UK and Australia. We never got this model in the USA but we did get the engine in lots of Datsuns and Nissans so parts are easy peasy. This vehcicle was used simply to transport people to rural fires as you had to have one side of the fire hose in a pond or river. Not too many rural fires in 30 years as the clock has 10k miles on it. :-). The factory plastic is still on the rear seats. No kidding. It includes a 600 cc 2 stroke water pump and fire hoses. Same thing they used on Gold Rush to basically shoot water on Canyon Walls to get gold. :-) So let me save you alot of time. If you ask me "Will you take this or that" for a truck you have never seen or driven the answer is NO and I will hang up on you. You could buy one in Japan and jump through the hoops yourself and import one BUT good luck finding one with 10K original miles. Again I import stuff as a hobby. Finding low mileage rare vehicles is part of the fun. Please note when you see the clock picture from last year remember you are looking at Kilometers NOT Mileage. So do some math. As of the day of this posting it had 10,160 miles. Period. Original Miles. Absolutely true! Call or text me at (360) 253-5760. |
