Description of 1993 Nissan 300ZX convertible |
1993Nissan 300ZX Convertible forsale. Thank you for your interest. Thisis an absolutely beautiful 1993 Nissan 300ZX Convertible car with167,000 miles, 3.0 liter naturally aspirated (non turbo) engine, V624Valve MultiportFuel Injected, Dual Overhead Cam unmodified engine. Black exteriorwith black leather interior. Never abused and no accidents. Fun todrive automatic transmission with black leather bucket seats. Haspowerful 4-wheel disc brakes and an all independent suspension.Attractive 16-inch alloy wheels that still look stylish and wear225/50/16 performance radials. It is not perfect cosmetically nor mechanically. This car has literally been parked forten years except for a monthly drive around the block. It does need asteering pump (or belt adjustment), tires, and a good cleaning withfluid change. Engine starts to smoke after running for about 15 minutes. Not sure, but might be the leaking power steering fluid burning off. Once repaired, this Nissan can be a fast, fun, reliable convertible thatyou don’t see very often and still ready to be your daily driver. A“turn heads wherever you go†kind of car. Sold only to a good home. :). Inthe early 1990’s, Japanese automakers pulled out all the stops andbuilt some of the most impressive sports cars of the period. Near thetop of the list was the Nissan 300ZX, whose shark like looks, impressive handling, and user friendly nature still make it a greatchoice for affordable fun today. This 1993 Nissan 300ZX convertibleis a fine example with the desirable 4 speed automatic transmission,so it is ready for top down summer fun. Withjust 167,000original, easy miles, this one is remarkably well- preserved and thiscar will get attention as it cruises through traffic. There is littledoubt that this car was built by and for drivers when you climbinside. The black leather buckets are firm and grippy, holding you inplace during spirited driving but remaining comfortable for longdistance hauls. The dash is low, giving excellent sight lines and intypical Japanese fashion, all the controls are at your fingertips onshort stalks or pods that line the outer edges of the instrumentpanel. The leather is in excellent shape with only the driver’sseat showing any notable wear, the carpets are extremely nice, andthere is a bit of storage behind the seats as well as a useful trunkin back. A black canvas top has an impressive fit with suitable weatherseals that make this convertible feel like a coupe and the roll hoopgives it impressive rigidity that you can feel. The naturallyaspirated 3.0 liter DOHC V6 was the only engine available in theconvertible. With 222 horsepower on tap, performance is energetic, even today, and it makes a wonderful guttural growl at full throttle. When running well, these engines have proven to be virtually indestructible in the realworld, and while they respond well to modifications, this one iscompletely stock. It starts quickly and easily, idles perfectly, andactually pulls down decent fuel economy as long as you are notstomping the pedal all the time. But as mentioned above, recently the steering pump has been leaking and the engine smokes after the car warms. This car cannot be test driven due to the mechanical condition and it has been parked for 10 years so does not have current insurance. Thank you so much for your interest. |
