GM's upscale compact the 1962 Oldsmobile Cutlass F85, ne of the most technologically-advanced engines of the 60's, 15 cubic inch all-aluminum V8. Options include:positraction, ower windows, ir conditioning (needs to be put back in the engine compartment), riginal 4 speed T-10 transmission. The4-sp is very scarce and desirable, ecause it had only a two month production run for the 1962 Model and it is a lot better than thenomal lame automatic. I think the car has been painted once, heinnards (door jambs trunk, tc) look to be all original paint. The car runs fantastic,a small car, ut offers big car comfort and performance on the highway.Good history behind this car, bought it from a man that told me he bought from the original owner in Florida.
Body:The car is a solid Florida car, ery clean underbody. All the trim is there and in good condition. The paint looks good but has minor chips and scratches. Floors and trunk look great and are rust free and solid, he original positraction trunk label? Very minor rust spots on the bottom of the wheel wells.Interior:The interior is unrestored completely original, xcept replacement carpets, protected by aftermarket floor mats, nd despite being a "compact" there's plenty of room for everyone.4 new 13" tires.Factory Tach gauge on the Factory Console works perfectly. All power windows, he Original Radio was converted to AM-FM with an iPod plug in the box by S&M Electro-Tech and Alpine amp and speakers. An electric antenna. A set of 60's style chrome add-on gauges, ll work. A full size set of extra wheel covers and two extra factory tachs.
Engine:The drive line, rans, ifferential have been all rebuilt and the engine was rebuilt byD&D Fabrications todyno in at the flywheel to astreetable 244HP.Dan LaGrou of D&D spent 23 years in engine and chassis development at General Motorsspecializing in aluminum engines before he started D&D. The engine has been balanced and blue printed, have the spec sheets. It has aGener-Nator (replaces the generator); assembled with brand new high quality parts and stainless steel hardware. The measurements are all of original standards thus allowing it to be mounted on the original brackets. AGener-Nator will maintain and keep the battery in a fully charged state; provide the power you need for all your accessories as well as the ones you add on; control the voltage for optimum performance and not have you continuously worrying about you battery. Itis NOT an alternator machined down and then stuffed inside a generator case. It is, very sophisticated piece of electrical equipment, o look stock and do the job of a modern alternator.Best of all, hen you look under the hood, ou see a generator not a modern looking alternator. It also has an original looking Delco Battery replica from Antique Auto Battery of Ohio, ith original look repo battery cables. This small 215 cubic inch V8 is a primo rebuild by Mark and Dan LaGrou.
This is my pet little car and it is not perfect, 've owned four of these cars and this one has been my favorite. It still needs some things done to it to be finished. It needs the air conditioner parts put back in the engine compartment. I sent all the AC parts to Antique Air Products in Fort Worth Texas and they rebuilteverything for me. I put themaximum rows in the original A.C. Harrison radiator for maximum cooling. That decreasedclearance between theradiator and the grill and made the original condenser is too big to fit in the front of the radiator and it needs to be adapted to a modern smaller condenser (included) that has a lot more efficiency than the old one. It isn't visible behind the grill anyway. I spared noexpense (I have $29,000 in receipts) This car has had nothing but the best and I made every effortto keep the look and integrity of a 1962 car.
Noguarantees orwarrantees, s is !!I would like to sell this car to someone who has seen and driven the car in person in Las Vegas.
Go for a ride in my Jetfire, opy and paste-- Jetfire10 Johnson--on YouTube-- for the car I had a few years ago; same type car except that it had a turbo, nd this F-85 Cutlass has more horsepower. And listen to "Born To Be Wild:
