1971 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible 2-Door 7.5L Tribute

Offered for sale is a freshly restored 1971 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible Tribute car. The history on this car showed that the car was originally delivered on February 22, 971 to Frank Gentile Oldsmobile in Racine, I. I have the original delivery papers; build sheets, perator manuals, nd Protecto-Plate. Life started out as a Cutlass Supreme with a 350 engine and was leased for 2 years. It then went back to the dealer as a used car and was purchased by a gentleman that had it restored to a 442 clone, hen all parts were still available, nd OEM. It has the rare 442 dash emblem as well as the original dual cutout bumper and dual snorkel air cleaner. These parts, s well as the entire interior (with exception of OEM front seat covers) are original and in excellent condition. All interior panels are original (with exception of new carpet inlays on the door panels) and in excellent condition. Top dash pad perfect, ot 100% sure it is original, did not change it.

For this restoration, he body was removed from the frame, he frame fully cleaned and POR15 treated. The underside floor was treated the same way, ny holes were patched with welded panels. New body mounts were installed when the body was placed back on. Then it was off to the body shop where both rear quarter panels and wheelhouses were replaced with GM NOS parts. Right inner trunk panel was replaced as well, ave pictures showing process. Have many receipts as well. All trim and emblems original, xcept grilles.(repro.)

The only problem I know of is the interior lights do not work, on't know why.

Must sell this car due to financial reasons, t is a fun car to drive, ets lots of looks and thumbs up. Runs and drives like 1971, ice to go back in time.
