Description of 1969 Oldsmobile 442

This auction is for a 1969 Oldsmobile 442 with the rare W-32 package, nly 247 2dr hard top W-32's were built that year. They only came with auto trans, 00 Ramrod V-8 engine. Hood stripes, nd a few other items equivalent to the Hurst olds. This car has it's original matching number running gear. It is a 3 owner car.The car originally came from Minnesota The second owner from NY rebuilt the motor and installed a new radiator. Then the car came to Maine. An electronic ignition distributor was used but we do have the correct original distributor to this motor. The car runs great trans shifts fine. Car also has power steerin, ower front disc brakes,12 bolt limited slip. power rear antenna, inted glass, actory rally wheels, ucket seats with console floor shift and was a vinyl top car. Top was starting to peel so we removed it. The original color combo was triple black. The interior of the car is all original. The front bucket seats do have some torn spots and the carpets are a little aged. Mint headliner and dash. All the deep tinted glass is in great shape. The body on the car is good and straight and retains all it's original panels. There is some old repair work on bottom of both front fenders and some old repair on the outer wheel house drivers side . You can see different shades of black where the body has been touched up over the years. The right body guy could clean this up fairly easy. Grill work is in great shape. Front bumper is in fair shape . Rear bumper looks close to new. The underside of the car is pretty darn solid. Frame is in good condition and not rusty pitted like a lot of northern cars. I did find one small rust spot in the floor pan just above the transmission cross member drivers side. (very minor) The trunk pan is the worst part of the car. Most of it is solid but there is an area on the left and right sides where it has started to rust through.Inner wheel tubs are in good shape.Inner and outer rockers nice and solid. The only thing missing on the car is the vinyl top material that I removed and the two functioningair scoops that mounted under the front bumper and attached hoses that hooked to the inner fenders and routed to both sides of the breather extensions.(ram induction) I understand that these can be purchased for aprox $400 thru Fusick.Over all this is a car that you can get in, njoy and drive the way it is or do the correct resto that it deserves. We do have some original paper work and line card. Owners book and protecto plate also.We have a transferable Maine registration and proper dealer paper work for a smooth transaction. We require a $500 dollar non refundable deposit at the close of the auction and balance to be paid within 3 days of auctions end.
