In their time, hey were referred to as Doctors' Wagons.This car had aside crank so the driver could start the car from the front seat. It has a two-speed transmission, enter chain drive and mechanical brake on the transmission.The original engine was a one-cylinder horizontal style with 4.5 horsepower.This one sports the original chassis, heels, rivetrain, rake and transmission. The motor has been replaced with a Honda 5hp. There has been some necessary woodwork done evidently, hroughout the life of this car. All necessary on a 100+ year old wood-bodied vehicle. Some of the original remains, urprisingly enough, nd, verything done was done professionally to good effect.
This one was found in a warehouse several years ago. It sports a California Horseless Carriage Tag. We have no title. We have no VIN to get one. Maybe all of this can be traced through California DMV if it is necessary. Maybe you won't need to, f you are buying this for your collection or to drive in parades or exhibitions.
