Description of 1971 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight Custom 88

An original Little Ol' Lady's car from Bell Gardens. Literally! The owner passed earlier this year. The car was in the estate. The estate trustee passed the car to me for sale. This is NOT a refurbished car. But an original unmolested 1971 Olds Delta 88 Custom. The paint, he interior, he engine, ll are as they came from the factory in March of 1971.
This original 1971 Olds Custom 88 has the big block 455 Rocket motor. The car has been stored in a locked garage inSouthernCalifornia since at least 2005. The elderly lady who owned it probably has not driven it much since 2002 when her husband passed.
The car was bought new by the couple in Downey, alifornia. The original dealer license plate rings are still attached to the car. The car is on California NON-OP so there are no back fees.
The car was removed and over $3500 invested to get the car back to its original state. The body was cleaned and buffed. The interior was cleaned the engine was detailed. A new radiator and carb rebuilt along with the gastankremoval and cleaned. (Receipts given to the new owner).A new battery was also installed.
I've driven this car a short distance. It does have the original or fairly original bias-ply tires (15") that need to be removed and replaced with some quality radials. The shocks appear to be soft. The hood handle near the drivers foot is gone. A string is attached to pop the hood. The dashboard ispristine. (see the pictures)
There is a small hole in the exhaust pipe that goes over the reardifferential. Open up the exhaust withduels, nd flowmasters...yeah!
The car is what it is. An original version of the 1971 Delta 88 2 door hardtop with a vinyl top. The original seat covers are still on the rear seats and passenger side. WE HAVE ALL FOUR HUBCAPS.
The car is up for offers, nd we will consider every offer. Transport to your location is the buyers responsibility. I rented a Uhaul trailer. The car got a lot of attention coming north out of Los Angeles, imply because the car is so straight and original.
THis would make a great Christmas present to the lucky guy or gal. What a weekendcruiser. We as a family considered keeping this car because we have a vintage Airstream travel trailer, nd we would like to see the USA. What a combination that would be! The 455 would have no problems towing that trailer.
So, e present to you for your consideration an original 1971 Olds Delta 88 2 door under 75,000 original miles.
