History: Greetings! I've finally decided to sell my beloved 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera convertible. Here is the history: Back in late 1985, hacker Olds - Cadillac in Annapolis, D acquired a loaded Olds Ciera convertible. Since GM did not offer a factory convertible, he convertible conversion was professionally done by Hess & Eisenhardt (H & E) coachworks in Cincinnati, OH. Upon seeing this unique car on the showroom floor, immediately fell in love and promptly purchased it in March 1986. For the age of this vehicle, he condition is fantastic! Not surprising considering this car was:
- Well maintained with regular oil changes and dealer services.
- Always garage stored.
- Never driven in inclement weather.
- Never in an accident.
- One owner vehicle (Non-smoking adult).
- Driven infrequently (Only 30,400 total miles for an average of 981 miles per year!).
Key Features & Options:
- 2-Door Coupe (A-body Platform)
- Gloss Black Exterior with Red Pinstripes
- Wine Burgundy Leather Interior
- Powered Convertible Top
- Removable Boot Cover in matching Wine Burgundy
- 3.0L (181 cu. in.) V6 Engine
- 2 Barrel Carburetor
- Automatic Transmission
- Power Steering
- Power Locks
- Power Windows
- A/C
- Cruise Control
- Delco AM/FM Cassette
- Tilt Steering Wheel
- Digital Instrumentation Panel
- Locking Wire Wheel Covers
- Firestone Whitewall Tires
- New Battery (Installed January 2016)
This Cutlass Ciera is operational and can be test driven. The V6 engine starts easily and the transmission shifts fine as well. All four power windows are functional as is the power convertible top. To properly assess the car's overall condition, lease refer to the 24 photos included with this listing. Note how both the interior and exterior are in great condition for a car of this vintage. Inside, here are no stains or tears on the leather seats. Outside, he body is free of any substantial dents or scratches and there is no visible body rust. The Gloss Black paint still has an alluring shine as evidenced by the reflections in the pictures. Also, oth the convertible top and boot are free of tears or UV degradation. Best of all, he entire car is almost 100% original right down to the wire wheel covers and floor mats! While there are numerous positives with this car, n the honesty of disclosure, here are a few problem areas. While by no means an auto mechanic, hese are the issues I'm aware of: - Paint flaws on hood (Should eventually be resprayed).
- Driver's power seat not operational (Motors run, but no movement).
- Decorative trim around driver's side headlight is damaged (See detail photo - search for GM Part #22527845).
- Trunk air struts won't hold trunk open and need replaced.
To further enhance the collectibility, he following items will be included: - The original title.

- Front license plate mounting bracket (currently installed).
You would be hard pressed to locate a Cutlass Ciera of this vintage in better condition and with fewer miles. Furthermore, t would be nearly impossible to find one this nice with a Hess & Eisenhardt convertible conversion. For sure, his is a rare find that would make a great collectible car!Buyer responsible for vehicle pick-up or shipping arrangements and fees. Free local pick-up can be arranged.
