Description of 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass Sport Coupe

OK all you Oldsmobile fanatics out there. this is a very rare Olds Cutlass 442 Post. They made less then 2. 00 442s with the post. I do believe they call it a Sports Coupe. This car is all original. with an exact numbers matching motor. transmission. and rear end. This car was in the dry deserts of Arizona for most of it's life. When we purchased the vehicle and brought it to San Diego (where it's been for the past 3 years). the motor was pulled and rebuilt and has less then 200 miles on it. The transmission has never been taken apart as far as I know. The 400 cubic inch engine purrs like a kitten and has a mild street Erson cam in it that gives it a nice little rumble. Everything else in the motor is stone stock. It starts right up. idles. and drives perfectly. The transmission shifts great. and the kickdown works with no issues. It has an original rear end with the factory sway bars that was installed in all 442s. It has power drum breaks all the way around and stops on a dime. This is a very solid car. and has never had any signs of rust ever. You get in the car and it starts right up and goes down the road straight as an arrow. It is very solid and drives like a dream. handling awesomely. It has original Olds rally wheels wrapped in new tires that only have about 300 miles on them. The car is painted with a mirror finish. It is original dark blue pearl with clear coat. It was painted with PPG products. and shines like a piece of glass. The paint really pops in the sun. and changes colors as the sun comes down. It has a white interior that's in really great shape with a few minor scuffs that can be expected with a car that's been driven. The old school radio actually works. and it has a nice new headliner. There's no cracks in any of the windows. and the car is very complete. I do believe the car came originally with a vinyl top which was removed before I got it. It's a nice car that you can drive right up to your cruise night and go home with a trophy. All the floorboards and trunk floor are extremely solid. and it even comes with a spare rally wheel. The A/C system was evacuated at the time of engine rebuilt. It was sucked down to check for any leaks. which there aren't any. but it was never refilled with freon. It is still an R-12 system. The reason it was never filled is that I do not have any R-12. The A/C compressor turns on with a switch. With a couple cans of freon it should blow cold. The left door frame outer trim did have somebody put a little patch on the corner. as you can see in the pictures. The rest of the trim and emblems are all there. The only other issue is that occasionally the gas gauge goes past full. but it usually returns to normal. This is a 46 year old car. so I'm sure I'm missing something. but I am trying to describe the car to the best of my ability. All the lights work properly. This is a street legal car you can pick up and drive anywhere. It is currently registered in my name. So if anybody out there wants to have a clean. rust free car that starts up and hauls butt. this is the car for you. This car gets comments and looks wherever I go. If you have any questions about the car. give me a call at (619) 206 2500 or leave me a message. My name's Paul. It's in San Diego. if you want to come by and take her for a spin or drive her around. or we can drive it to a shipping yard for easy transport. Shipping is responsibility of the buyer.
