I purchased the vehicle from an employee of the funeral home in South Dakota. It was in service until 2000 from my understanding. It was running and drove good when I bought it and needed only minor body work. I removed the engine, transmission, and driveshaft then sent the car to the body shop. I had the transmission rebuilt, drive shaft balanced and I cleaned up the external of the engine. The body shop stripped the paint and repainted the vehicle in “black rose” a corvette color that we chose. The top was not painted and will need to be re-painted if desired or can be cleaned up. I have all the trim work which is in good shape, I had planned to buff it all out before re-installing. I replaced the control arm bushings, tie rods and steering links but I did not do an alignment. I have the fender skirts which were painted when the vehicle was painted. I had the control arms, radiator/shroud support, and front wheel wheels powder coated. There is no started on the engine but it did run fine when before removal, there is no exhaust as I removed it when I removed the drivetrain. I applied POR15 on the entire undercarriage and the inside floorboards. There was rust on the driver’s side floorboard and I installed a panel when I applied the POR15. I have the original door panels and front seat that will need to be re-covered or a new front seat installed. I had the front and rear bumpers re-chromed. Overall, the vehicle needs the front end re-assembled, starter installed, transmission fluid and filter changed, exhaust installed, top finished, engine oil and filter changed, interior completed, and rear bumper installed. It is a solid vehicle that needs someone to complete, I do not have the time so I have decided to offer it to a new home. The vehicle is in Yorkville, Illinois not Peotone, Illinois.
