I Have lowered my reserve price, I am selling my car that I have had since 2004 and I will try to describe it as well as I can for you. It is a 1972 442 'U' code (factory 455} car with a 1970 'E' head 455 in it and a TH400 and a posi rearend. This is not a 'Numbers Matching Engine' car but it is "Era Correct" with a better engine than the low compression 'G' head that would have been stock. It is one of 7,313 72 W-29 hardtops built in 72 with an automatic trans. Trim tag: 53 A is the paint and top (gold and white) and 10D is the build time, it is also a A51 bucket seat car. it was built in Arlington TX in 4th week of October. Options: OEM Oldsmobile OAI Ram-Air Hood, A/, tilt column with Sport Wheel, electric trunk pop, electric defrost (in the glass) rear window defroster, Bucket seats, consol, OEM Hurst dual gate shifter, power disc front brakes. Body colored Sport Mirrors with remote lh mirror. Positraction, Engine: 1970 455 "E" Head standard bore engine with 10.25 comp. ratio. 365 HP with 500 lb ft of torque out of a 70 442New rings and bearings.New oil pump, timing gear.Rebuilt heads. Q-jet #7028244 (68 Buick) RH "W" exhaust manifold and "X " LH with new exhaust with Flowmasters.Original intake # 404521OEM distributor with Pertronix1967 Pontiac TH 400 "PX' code short shaft trans. 10 Bolt 8.5" 28 spline 2.78 posi w/W27 cover. Body/Paint: Car was painted in 2014 using PPG Base Coat/Clear Coat. Color is 1970 Olds code "14" Platinum Poly. It has black W-30 style stripes. New vinyl top ( from Legendary) was installed at that time also.New windshield. Interior: Interior upholstery is by Legendary Auto Interiors. It includes front and rear seat upholstery and front and rear door panels. The headliner and package tray is by Legendary as well. It also has the original braces in front and rear and boxed control arms with original sway bar in rear and an oversized one up front. 4 new shocks, new heater core, 4 oem seat belts,black. cut out rear bumper, Wheels and Tires: New Cooper Cobra 225/70/14 Tires on original 14"X7" SSI wheels. On Jun-30-17 at 14:07:21 PDT, seller added the following information:I have had a few questions concerning documentation, i do not have any paperwork to back me up but when i bought this car it was a very original 442 with emblems in the factory gold paint, original cut-out rear bumpe, broken original grilles with tri colored emblems, ( before they were reproduced) Factory Ram Air hood ( couldn't tell if it came with it, but it is OEM} OEM rear spoiler ( i kept it) and the glovebox tri colored emblem (before they were reproduced) it also had the big block braces front and rear. this has always been a 442 as I see it. thanks! |
