GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1987 Oldsmobile 442 for purchase. The Oldsmobile 442 became its own model line in 1968 after being an option package for the Cutlass. The 442 etymology comes from 4-barrel carburetor 400 cubic inch displacement and dual exhausts. The 442 is a muscle car legend with its GM Cousins of the same famous GM A-body platform (Chevelle GTO and GS). From 1985 to 1987 Oldsmobile revived the 442 moniker to succeed the Hurst/Olds models. The package included a bee...fier drivetrain 15 X 7 fully chromed styled-steel wheels with gold trim manually inflated air shocks in the rear special paint scheme (always silver at the bottom) and gold body stripe decal package dual-snorkel air cleaner with chrome lid mandatory A/C and door panel 4-4-2 emblems. 3000 were produced in the first year and all were sold quickly. 4273 were produced for 1986 and 4208 were made in 1987. This generation of the 442 is muscle when there wasn't much muscle produced. Cosmetically this car is outstanding; it is immaculate inside and out. It is covered in factory original GM (code 31) Dark Teal Blue Metallic with Silver Metallic (code 21) as the lower accent. The front and rear bumpers are the same color as the body. The car has the factory gold 442 decals and trim as well as the factory body side molding. The car rides on factory 15"x7" 442 chrome wheels.
