IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE A SHORT WALK-AROUND AND START-UP VIDEO OF THIS CAR, PLEASE CLICK HERE: https://youtu.be/SkMpu9ylaqI What kind of statement does this car make? Well the Oldsmobile 442 was the "gentlemen's musclecar", with big power and great looks, but also the comforts and luxury that make it a joy to drive. This one is no exception. This car exudes class, power, and luxury. Can you imagine pulling into your high school reunion this summer in this car? How about a dinner date with another couple? Or hop in with your family and hit the beach.....this 442 is absolutely the car to be seen in. The engine is the original numbers-matching Oldsmobile "Rocket" 350 and the transmission is the original TH350 automatic. The engine is untouched and original, and it runs and shifts perfectly. It has plenty of power to cruise along at highway speeds, but still gets decent gas mileage and without all the fuss and drama of a huge engine. The original owner kept meticulous records on every single time he bought gas or changed the oil. I will be including all that paperwork with the car. Mechanically the car is very sound and reliable. It just simply works great, and it sounds good through the brand new dual exhaust. The interior is a two-tone with saddle brown and white, along with the white convertible top. The seat covers are all new, along with the top and the boot cover. The top was ordered with the more expensive glass rear window, as was original. Everything works inside the car, except for the AC which is being serviced as I write this. The original AM radio was replaced with an AM/FM sound system with CD changer capability, but still retains the old-school styling, so it looks great. The convertible top is power and goes up and down quietly. The exterior of this car is where it REALLY shines, both figuratively and literally! Nothing screams 1970's musclecar like an early 70's Olds 442, with their outrageous outside air induction hoods with the huge twin scoops and hood pins, W-35 rear spoiler, hood and side stripes, and dual exhaust with trumpet tips. The convertible ones are even more fun! This one features the orange "Bittersweet Metallic" color with the factory white striping. The orange was mixed with a little extra pearl and it just glows in the sunlight. It is absolutely one of the most beautiful colors I have ever seen on a car. The stripes on this one are actually painted on and clear coated, so you will never have to worry about vinyl stickers fading out or falling off, and it also makes it much easier to wax.....not to mention, it looks great. Both bumpers are brand new, as well as all of the emblems and the grilles. The car has absolutely zero rust anywhere, including underneath or inside the trunk. It is as solid as a rock, and clean as a whistle. It has been babied and garaged since Day One, and it shows. There are no chips, no dents, no scratches.......just slick, reflective perfection everywhere you look. I guarantee you will be the star of the show anywhere you go in this beautiful 442. A FULL VIDEO OF THIS CAR CAN BE FOUND HERE: https://youtu.be/SkMpu9ylaqI All in all, this 442 is an iconic musclecar that is recognized and loved by everyone, that you can get in and enjoy right now. Don't bother with buying rusty projects that take forever. You can hop in this one, put the top down, and drive down the road with the wind in your hair this spring and summer, and hit all the events, cruises, and car shows that you want......and ENJOY YOURSELF!
