Description of 1958 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight

This rare Olds 98 2 door is a real, un-monkeyed with, survivor, with only 49,500 miles. It appears to have the original shocks on it!! It is very straight and solid all over. The car runs, drives, shifts and brakes very smooth. It looks to have had one repaint, not show, but driver presentable. The very bottom of the front fenders have had some repair at some point, and the bottom of the spare tire well has a 3"x5" fiberglass patch. All else, over and under, is solid with no patch repairs. I think the original fabric in the interior is indicative of the cars easy life. The pic of the back seat shows some lines in the white leather, - those are not cracks and are not visible in person, just shadows in pic. The chrome, die cast, and stainless are excellent for their age. I find exactly two dents in all the stainless, RH rocker molding and LH fender molding, easy fixes, in pics. The die cast is exceptional except the LH tail light housing, but the car comes with a replacement. The car has never dripped on my floor. As usual for age, the horns, radio and clock are don't work. The power seat worked when I bought the car but has never been used, so it quit, but should not be tough to fix. This is a package deal. I bought the car many years ago, collected "Olds Goodie" parts for it, took it on, "Maintenance," drives around the neighborhood, and that's all. In the pic are parts that come with the car. Too many to list but the high points are, - Complete, correct, restored J-2 tri-power, batwing air cleaner and all the lines brackets, fuel pump, needed to install it. Stainless brake and fuel lines. All new emblems, chrome letters, and various factory decals. A complete set of date coded side glass, as the passenger window was cracked when I bought the car. Parts to install A/C, - original dash outlets, control head, compressor mount, and harmonic balancer with extra pulley. Extra set of glass skirts. Re-chromed rear bumper center, and front bumper end caps. NOS Isky "Bumpy" valve covers. The hubcaps on the car re NOS as well. Car has a clear Pa. Title. Don't ask to separate parts, or "Help" sell. Average NADA Retail is $39,960. Inspections welcome. For sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction, otherwise, the high bid takes it. Hate to let it go, but,... Car is, As Is, Where Is. Pick up required within 30 days. Questions will be answered. ....Larry
