Attention automobile enthusiasts, this is probably a once in a lifetime opportunity. The time has come to sell my very rare 1982 Oldsmobile Delta 98, Regency-Brougham with the Diesel engine. Let me give you a little history on this time capsule, I have owned the vehicle for 3 years. I purchased the Oldsmobile from a dear friend of mine who bought the car brand new in Idaho where it has spent its entire life. The car has always been stored indoors and it has kept it in remarkably nice condition. The odometer reads 57,990 which is verifiable and correct, the car has been seldom driven in the last 20 years having covered only 2,000 miles since 1997. All of the original paperwork has been kept with the car, this includes the original manual, window sticker, warranty cards, and flyers/brochures. The car also has the fender skirt removal tool, original spare tire, jack and tools, all are intact and unused. The body is straight as an arrow without a single spot of rust anywhere on the car, the only visible dent is a shallow depression on the drivers right front fender otherwise the body is perfect. The paint and vinyl top are completely original and look beautiful, as for the interior what can I say, it amazing! The upholstery is like brand new, the dash and package tray show no fading or cracking, the headliner was just redone and looks better than brand new, the sun visors have become "puffy" with age but doesn't effect anything. All interior lights and power functions work, this includes power windows, power locks, power seats, electric trunk release, and original AM/FM radio with 8 Track player. Now onto the absolutely amazing part about this car, it has the Oldsmobile 350 Diesel V8 engine and what an engine, this thing runs like a sewing machine with no blow-by whatsoever. The engine starts in winter conditions with no hesitation and without the aid of a block heater although one is included with the car to aid in cold starts. Some recently completed maintenance includes 8 new glow plugs, new fuel pump, new heater core, new exhaust system, oil change with "Lucas Oil Stabilizer", new starter and alternator, new thermostat, and both battery's are less than 2 years old. The transmission shifts beautifully without hesitation and fluid is nice and pink. This car came loaded from the factory with everything from A/C to Hydro-boost brakes. The A/C blows but not cold so I am assuming it needs a recharge and the shocks for the trunk lid need replaced as they do not hold it up otherwise there are no issues with this car. The car is extremely pleasant to drive, everything is very tight and operates like brand new, I often average 23-25 MPG, the tires are older but have been kept out of the elements so are still in nice shape and have plenty of life left. This car is extremely honest and is as close to buying a brand new car from 1982 as most people will ever get. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere in the country.
