We recently purchased this Toronado from the previous older female California owner and as you can tell in the pictures and video it was her pride and joy !! It only has 51,263 ACTUAL - ORIGINAL MILES, although we have no documentation to prove it. It is VERY RARE as only 25,073 - Code "9687" - Toronado Custom Hardtops were built in 1969 !! It still retains it's correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - dash mounted VIN tag - FACTORY ORIGINAL - firewall mounted Oldsmobile data plate and the - FACTORY ORIGINAL - trunk lid mounted jacking instruction sticker, all of which are shown in several pictures. This is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - California - Idaho High Mountain Desert - Western car and it shows! I drove this Toronado as my daily driver for the last several days and it runs and drives VERY WELL !! It is a sweet driver in town and cruises down the freeway easily and smoothly. The motor also sports the ORIGINAL 4 barrel intake manifold, ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds, ORIGINAL valve covers, ORIGINAL "Toronado" scripted air cleaner housing and the ORIGINAL REBUILT Rochester Quadrajet 4 barrel carburetor. Sounds GREAT too with the factory style dual exhaust system. The engine is backed by a - SMOOTH - Three speed - "THM-425" - Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission which is also functioning very well.
