Eye catching in Scarlet Red, this Cutlass looks good with its muscular, yet graceful body lines. But as an intermediate sized muscle car, it has the power and attitude for fast fun in the sun along with plenty of room for friends or family to join with you in your top down adventures. The Red paint on this car was professionally applied with a basecoat/clearcoat process only after plenty of preparation to get the flat and straight... lines of the body true, and the curved lines of the body smooth. The results are impressive. Light dances off the car as it moves down the street and bends over the hood and fenders when its sitting still. The chrome bumpers and stainless on this car are really sharp too. Up front it trims out the grill and surrounds the quad headlights uniquely separated by the marker lights. It highlights the upper line of the fenders and doors from front to rear and outlines the wheel wells. The view from the rear of the car is simple but intimidating. A wing is perched on top of the trunk that slopes smoothly down to Oldsmobile and Cutlass in script along with a Supreme badge, and simple rectangular taillights are underlined by a big chrome bumper and dual exhaust tips. Open the door, or just take a look inside this car if the roof is down, and you will find an interior of white upholstery with black carpeting and dash that perfectly complements the red paint. It is all new, completely replaced and installed as part of the restoration of the car. The door panel has vertical pleats on the top two thirds and black carpeting on the bottom with delicate chrome piping highlights. The split bench seat in the front is pleated with decorative smooth vinyl highlights and matches the back perfectly. Rear armrests are nicely stitched and a white boot for the power operated roof when its down gives it all a super clean look. The dash is simple but spotless with a new dash pad and a three spoke steering wheel sits in front of clearly visible gauges with a newer digital radio with tape player for your listening pleasure. When you open the hood, you will find a matching numbers 350CI engine that is both show and go. It's dressed out nicely and has the muscle to get the job done. It starts from the top down with an air filter housing painted car color with brushed metal ribs. Under that are twin Edelbrock carburetors that feed an Offenhauser intake. Valve covers, the engine iron and even the alternator are painted car color. An MSD ignition system and coil assure good spark and it even has red spark plug wires. Free flowing long tube headers extract the spent gasses and feed out to a dual Flowmaster exhaust system. It all works together to make great power and sweet sounds as it's doing it. Power is sent back through a two-speed Powerglide transmission and power front disc brakes help you haul this car back down when you let the horses run. The rubber meets the road through 235/60R15 BFGoodrich Radial T/As all around mounted on steel wheels painted to match the car with chrome trim rings. Eye catching because it's a great looking Red on White convertible. Hard to catch because its packing some serious muscle.
