During the late 50's early 60's, America was fascinated with the space race; what things would look like in future as new technologies, new designs were on a rapid pace. The American automotive manufactures pick up on this concept and futuristic designs and nameplates began showing up on their cars. The cars were lower, sleeker, interiors with shapely gauges to mimic aerospace cockpits, long rear fenders with taillights designed to resemble rockets or jet engines etc. Vehicles like the Olds...
