Description of 1986 Oldsmobile 442 442 |
I am writing this for my husband - so... if I say anything wrong about the car - feel free to correct me. If I forget something important - Just message me and I will ask him. Now you ask - Why doesn't he write the description himself ? - Well the car will be over a 100 years old before it was ready to list !!!So your stuck with me ! This is/was a female driven Florida car - original mileage - and a real 442 looks to be untouched original everything. Now my Hubby couldn't help the urge to see if she would run - so he hooked up to a plastic gas can/container and got her to run, sounds good and strong. And drove her up to the garage. Shifts gears and brakes hold, - car has been sitting for years - so he didn't want to risk getting any junk from old gas in the tank clogging up stuff or the lines. - He said the bidder/buyer will understand that they need to completely go thru everything.I just want to write it down - so there is no misunderstanding.Sorry to insult anyone but - This is a 34 year old car - so please keep this in mind. (no, you can't fly down and driver her home !!!) The seats are really niceOf course it had factory Air conditioning and the air conditioner is all there - but of course it is not working at this time. Just like ya'll ....he bought with all hopes of tinkering and restoring - and making money down the road as they are getting really hard to find... but sadly time has slipped away from him and he is going to be selling most of his projects. Just like the cars - he is getting up there in age and I want to start going on vacations instead of looking at his backside bent over a car. This car has rust here and there of course. He said in the typical Oldsmobile spots (doors, trunk lid, the edge of hood, etc.) Please see all photos before bidding and again if you have questions - just ask. Deposit must be made in the first 24 hours thru pay pal - rest can be established with him with in the first week and establishing the pick up process.Car will not be released to any shipper (and you must pay your shipper - do not send us extra to handle that) Car must be paid in full at least two weeks in advance of pick up - just in case there is any funny business with funds or chargebacks. Unless picking up in person and paying cash. Sorry we do not take checks of any kind (personal, cashier/registered or not or certified funds) If you need to do a Wire transfer to bank - that is okay - will give you a account that holds $1.00 in it at all times. But the wire transfer fee being paid by buyer ($15.00) - so if you send a million to the bank - make sure it is a million and fifteen !!! If you have any questions before bidding please feel free to contact my husband: 7279191826 We are Willing to hold car as needed for shipper pick up (reasonable time frame depending on your location) All Over seas bidders welcome and we are between 4-5 hours from Port of Miami.Bidder/winner is 100% responsible for acquiring, arranging anything to do with pickup and delivery - but we will help in anyway we can to make sure it goes smoothly.Easy pick up location and we can also bring to a business if they need a commercial location for pick up.Any parts, that go with car - will be stored in car/trunk area and secured for shipping. This is an very low reserveAUCTION- so if you bid and are the final bidder andit has met its reserve -you buy/own it !!!We surely would appreciate that you please check with your wife before bidding !!!Make sure your kids don't bid for you and that you have the funds available. 0 or low feedback score bidders will be cancelled or removed unless you message/call and state your business and intentions. Now I (wife) usually contact bidders a day or two before end of auction to verify they are real and are truly bidding on the car.If I cant get a response verbal or thru message, I will assume your bid(s) is not real and cancel/delete it - so please answer message or get ahold of me. |
