The GM A-body cars of this generation are some of the most highly sought-after muscle collector cars of all time. The Cutlass shared the famous platform with the Chevelle, Buick GS, 442, and Pontiac GTO. With the major remodel taking place for the 1968 model year, these new designs went on to become a fan favorite and still stand as such in today's market. With the convertible as an option for this generation the enjoyment only grew when added and really makes this classic a cool cruiser ready for some drop-top rides. The GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme convertible for consideration. This well restored and strong running Cutlass convertible is very clean and shows beautifully. The car has less than 7,000 miles on the rebuilt drivetrain. The original 350v8 was replaced with a 455 v8 from a 1969 Toronado. The 455 was rebuilt by H.A.M. in Holland MI and has 10:1 compression with a mild cam. The block sports a OEM aluminum intake. Other highlights include a Quadra Jet professionally rebuilt and re-Zinc oxided, new radiator, new power steering pump, new alternator, rebuilt transmission, complete new suspension with new springs/control arms and linkage, new complete brake system with new booster/master cylinder, prop valve. The car rides on chrome Cragars but also comes with the factory wheels. It also has rear air shocks, all new dual exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers. This is an excellent vehicle that is ready for its new owner.
