This is a 1960 Oldsmobile 98 Scenic Coupe, this is a very cool Bubble top car like an 59-60 Impala. This car is still wearing it's original black paint. Overall this is a fairly solid 64 year old car, but there is rust here and there, but no bondo or repaint hiding anything. So what you see is what you get. The frame is excellent. This car has been sitting since the late 80's early 90's and that has definitely been it's worst enemy. There is some floor rust, but nothing real bad, they are not gone by no means. The trunk is fairly solid and the quarters look decent. Right rear quarter has some light damage from a impact at one time. Nothing real bad. See photos. The rockers are both solid but do have some outer rust thru in a couple of spots. Both front fenders have some rust at the very bottoms, but again are easily savable. Most all the rust on this car can be fixed with small patch panels. There is NO major structural rust on the car, just repairable skin rust here and there from sitting in the weather for many years. The trunk gutter is in descent shape with some rust in spots. The trunk lid seems fine and solid. I have the spare tire and jack. There are some extra motor parts in the trunk from another old Oldsmobile. The Motor in this car is still complete. Both doors open and shut perfectly and are decent, but both doors do have some rust in them. but are very savable, The roof is excellent and there doesn't appear to be any rust around the windows and roof gutters. The hood is rusted bad at the lower lip and needs replacing in my opinion, but it also could possibly be saved or modified. All the stainless trim is present and intact. The bumpers are fair to poor and are just cores in my opinion. The interior is original to the car and still complete with the original factory floor mats. The original GM keys still have the knock out plugs in them. All the glass is Good and intact, but the drivers door glass is cracked. The dash is intact and uncut. This car has not run in many years. I put a battery in the car and it turns over by the original key with the starter. It seems to have good compression and will probably run with some tinkering. I was amazed at what all still works, The power windows all work but they need greasin, The radio powers up and makes noise, The power antenna still works fine, The 8 way power seat works but is very slow. All the dome lights and under dash lights work when you open the door. I have 2 NEW NOS sets of tail light lenses and a another complete good original drivers side left taillight assembly and housing. I also have a Factory service manual and lots of other misc. parts. This is a very unique car, it has a x frame, but it it also has side frame rails and rear leaf springs, only these Oldsmobile had these features. I posted a factory photo of the frame so you can see its uniqueness. The tires all hold air with no problem and it rolls and steers easily, but has NO brakes. The car does NOT run as it sits so it will have to be trailered to its new home. It would be a cool car to LS power if that's your thing. My starting bid is a bargain for a complete bubble top car like this. NO RESERVE AUCTION
