Description of 1956 Oldsmobile Super 88

Vehicle Details

Up for sale is a very nice 1956 Oldsmobile 88 Super that has had a resent restored. (this is a very well-done car) An album full of information about the car from when it was new and through the restoration comes with this car and pictures of the restoration. The engine has been Rebuilt and also the transmission. It has all new and beautiful paint in the black and white colors. All stainless had been removed, polished and reinstalled after the paint word was finished. I believe all the chrome has been redone also. It has new interior. Dash and gages are bright and all stainless has been polished. (looks like new) It has its original dash pad with no cracks and looks very nice. New door panels, new seat upholstery and new carpeting have been installed but the head liner is its original, as it looked new already. The trunk has also received new carpeting. (looks nice) This owner bought the car in 2002 and has pictures of the car before the restoration and during the restoration. When he bought the car, it only had 55,631 miles ever put on the car. Now it has 56096 on it. So only 465 mile have been put on the car in 22 years. (It is like new and drives like new) A few custom feathers have been added to the car during the restoration for a more custom look. Decked hood and trunk lid but the rocket hood ornament and trunk display ornament do come with the car as dose the original hubcaps and steering wheel that is in very nice condition. All lights work as they should, head lights and turn signals and interior lighting. The power brakes work well as dose the power steering. But the radio didn't turn on when I tried it, and the speedometer has just stopped working. The wife didn't know what to do. Her husband past several years ago and she has only driven it to a Coupal of local car shows in the last two years. (probole something simple) The original windshield dose have a cupel of small chips in it and one small crack. Please look at all pictures closely) The door windows roll up and down nicely, but the driver side rear door window didn't roll all the way down. I didn't want to force it. The car came from the factory with air-conditioning, but it was never reinstalled. The restoration was finished in 2017. It is running a new set of American Racing Torque Thrust II wheel with Cooper 245 R 60 15" tires. I'm listing this beautiful little Oldsmobile for my friend, and I will take all questions to her, but her husband is no longer with us. Buyer is responsible for shipping and all shipping costs or just come drive it home. We will help with loading on our end and in anyway we can. For your questions, please call Bill 208-750-0000.
