1971 Opel Kadett Sedan with rare factory sunroof for this model. Also has cigar lighter delete by the heater control which I've never seen on an Opel. This car was originally won by a gentleman at a Wisconsin casino as the grand prize give-a-way. It has been driven 44,500 miles and engine, transmission and rear drive all perform as they should. The brakes needed new rear wheel cylinders they they now work as they should. Interior isn't too bad- seats, dash and headliner should clean up okay. Vinyl on the rear sail panels is gone. The exterior body panels are mostly solid with rust issues on rockers and less so around head lights and lower quarters. Being a northern car there are rust issues to areas where floors meet rocker, some rust thru on right front floor pan, some frame rail rust and as shown in pictures near trailing arms in rear. Floors and trunk floor area are mostly pretty solid. The car need TLC and someone capable of doing some rust repair and patch panels in areas and could be a unique daily driver. The car has a clear Illinois title. Car can be seen and driven in Genoa, IL. 60135. Tires are fair and hold air, but car should be trailered after purchase. It can be driven at 60mph on the road but would not risk driving it any distance. Delivery within 150 miles of Chicago area is an option for a fee. Pay Pal deposit of $500 due at close of auction and the balance cash on pick up.
