Description of 1963 Austin Healey 3000 |
Beautiful example of a 1963 BJ7. This was the first year of the roll up windows and curved windshield. Professional frame offrestoration in 2010. Strong level 2 vehicle. Many claim to be restored to near original condition, his one is. Completely disassembled and rebuilt. Too many new parts to list here. All restoration records and pictures available. Driven less than 1000 miles since restoration. Independent inspections welcome. Restoration highlights: Frame off, edia blasted and epoxy primed. Mechanicals completely rebuilt including engine and transmission by Brit Bits, ye, H Painted with a single stage urethane in its original color of Old English White by Paint Works Dover, H. Interior is a Moss Motors kit as original, rofessionally installed. Car runs and drives as new. This is a collector grade vehicle. See BMI Heritage Trust Certificate in photos. A few enhancements were made: Interior color was changed from the original red to Moss Motors honey tan. New style starter and oil filter were installed for better reliability and ease of maintenance. Original starter and oil filter go with vehicle. Windshield washer reservoir was moved from interior parcel shelf to engine bay a la BJ8 style. Copper heater tubes were chromed to improve appearance of engine bay. Aluminum valve cover and wooden steering wheel were added to enhance the appearance. "Texas Kooler" fan installed to increase cooling efficiency. Original stock fan goes with vehicle |
