Description of 1938 Other Makes american bantam model 60 |
This American Bantam is a true piece of history. and a rare piece at that. The American bantam company was only in operation from 1937 to 1941. Amongst all models they only produced a total of 6000 cars and only around 600 of this particular model. The car Donald duck drove in the 1930's cartoons was actually based off the American Bantam. Many of these cars were destroyed for the war effort due to the fact that metal was needed for tanks and weapons more so than sensible economy cars. This bantam was kept in a garage and not moved for 20+ years. The paint is original and still shinning. The body has no rust and the cloth interior is still together and in very nice shape. It is in great condition overall and ready to cruise down Main Street on a beautiful Sunday night. |
