1963 AC Shelby Cobra CSX2047 Number 47 of 75 early 260ci cars. Owned by current collector since 1973 this vehicle was stripped to bare metal and obtained a beautiful red with white stripes repaint in 2001. Beautiful black interior looks great showing very little wear. Extensive work done to the 260ci motorcasting number C20E 6015Jand transmission in 1977 with documents showing detailed work (see pictures). In 1993 the battery, adiator and hoses were replaced with new as well as the carburetor being rebuilt. There is a tonneau cover and brand new Branda Performance Parts Wind Wings and Sun Visors with all hardware included and protective coating to be removed by end user. This car has been in a climate controlled showroom since 1973 in Los Gatos, alifornia. On December 16th, 014, ll fluid levels were checked, opped off, resh gas put in and the battery was charged. Literature Shelby American World Registry 2008, isted on page 90 This Car Documented in the Shelby American World Registry 2008 and documented CSX2047 this 1963 289 Cobra was billed to Shelby American 11/13/62; shipped to L.A. 2047 was invoiced on 2/20/63 to Dave Grubbe Ford (Burbank, A): "1 Shelby AC Cobra, SX2047" ($5,095.00); with sun visors ($15.04); wind wings ($13.97); front bumper ($23.97); rear bumper ($26.97); aluminum rocker covers ($35.40); chrome exhaust tips ($4.25); and chrome hood latches ($14.09), or a total of $5228.69. The cars first known owner was Kit Coyle (La Jolla, alifornia) who offered the car for sale in the early 70's: "1963 Cobra, SX2047. 60,000 mi BRG/ black interior. New rugs, attery, xhaust system, -60x15 Polyglass on 8" spokes, ood scoop. Beautiful car. Best offer over $5000.00" It's purchaser Bob Schiro, ob Schiro (CA), dvertised it for sale in late '72 with "60,000 miles, any new parts, 5000.00" But rather than sell the Cobra, chiro decided to keep it. In fact, s a car dealer in the Santa Clara area, chiro acquired additional Cobras as well as Corvettes, helbys and other vehicles as new car trade-ins, nd he correctly speculated that some of them might be worth more in the future. He therefor acquired a warehouse and stored his collection in it. 2047 was repainted with red and white stripes and maintained, hile rarely driven.
