1935 AUBURN SUPERCHARGED 851 CABRIOLET FULL CCCA CLASSIC
1935 Auburn 851"Supercharged" Cabrioletwith rumble seat. Older restoration. Interesting history. Was delivered new with a detachable hardtop. When the car was first restored 35+ years ago, he correct supercharger was added and the car was returned to its cabriolet form. The leather was recently redone as was the black canvas top. The two speed rear works. The car runs well. This supercharged Eight cylinder Auburn is a full CCCA Classic. It shares the same chassis and running gear as does the 851 Auburn Speedster, ut at a fraction of an Sc 851 Speedster's selling price. Museum stored in central Virginia. Apparently, 1935 models have a big rectangular side plate on the passenger side of the engine. Mine has, hat knowledgeable Auburn collectors refer to as five round freeze plugs and they only came on 1936 Auburn's. I had been told that the supercharger had been added, hen the car was originally restored.
